Our experienced team can also help you identify areas of SR&ED that you did not consider, such as developing a new process to create unique products or using new materials for existing tooling, for example.
After identifying SR&ED eligibility and the size of your claim, our services include writing a project description. This structured report will adequately organize the extensive details of your SR&ED project and elaborates on the challenges you faced in your project, the experiments you tried (including what failed or succeeded), and why your project constitutes a technological advancement. Our process also includes helping to prepare the SR&ED financial forms that tie the expenses and time spent on SR&ED activities to the project description.
Our team is here for you for the entire SR&ED filing process. Once your SR&ED application is submitted to CRA, we will remain in contact with CRA throughout the entire approval process, including all aspects of the audit, if that occurs. Our services include providing assistance should the CRA request additional information or a meeting and advising you on your rights to make sure you are treated fairly by CRA.
If the CRA selects your SR&ED claim for an audit, our consultants can work with you to help you understand how to prepare for one. We will advise your team on how to keep organized technical and financial details and documents and guide you through the process by preparing you for the audit review, what questions to expect an audit reviewer to ask and how to answer them, and how to demonstrate to the reviewer that you have solid knowledge of the SR&ED program and what activities are eligible.
